After revealing Murano CrossCabriolet on the facebook, Nissan finally showcases the world’s first all-wheel drive crossover convertible at the 2010 LA Auto Show. Giving the open air exhilaration of a convertible while extending the versatility of the Murano in exciting new ways, Murano CrossCabriolet is an innovative breakthrough in concept and design. Under its open-top skin, the CrossCabriolet is the same as hard-top version.
Powering the Murano CrossCabriolet 2011 is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that develops 265hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. Engine is mated to a second-generation Xtronic CVT transmission with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) that sends power to all the wheels. With seating capacity for four, the cabriolet also features an all-wheel drive system, the Vehicle Dynamic Control system, yaw sensors, wheel slip sensors and steering angle sensors.
To ensure the extra safety the vehicle is equipped with 4-wheel vented disc brakes with Anti-lock Brake System, Brake Assist and Electronic Brake force Distribution and a G-sensor. The vehicle is to go on sale in February 2011 but the brand hasn’t announced the price as of now.
