Even when the Detroit Motor Show is more than three weeks away, the automakers have started revealing their vehicle before they are actually unwrapped for public viewing. Nevertheless, another addition in the list is GMC Sierra All-Terrain HD Concept. From the appearance itself you can make it out that it’s manly, it’s big and badass, no doubt. Featuring Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 engine mated to Allison 1000 six-speed transmission that sends 397hp and 765 pound-feet of torque to all the wheels.

What’s more? Unlike the Ford Raptor or Ram Power Wagon, the GMC Sierra All-Terrain HD is available in diesel engine. On the other, to make it better suit for all terrains, its ground clearance has been increased by three inches, width (at 73inches) by four inches than normal, and it’s been built taller (at 21.1-inch) and tougher. The heavy duty truck sits on 20 inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 35-inch BFGoodrich KM2 mud terrain tires and off-roading capability is enhanced with, large skid plates and special Fox off-road shocks created for the All Terrain HD with visible remote fluid reservoirs designed to provide better handling and rebound.
Inside the four door 2011 Sierra HD is a Denali-spec interior with additional satin metal finishes and a leather-wrapped dash. There is also a next-generation stereo system with an 80-gigabyte hard drive. Before you actually see the truck rolling at the Detroit auto show 2011, check out the images to find out what it looks like.
